Direct Cremation
Our charge for direct cremation is all inclusive, covering all of the following services and products:
- Staff to respond to initial request for services
- Pick-up of the deceased at place of death
- Arrangement conference with family or representative
- Minimum container for deceased
- Temporary shelter of the deceased at the funeral home
- Obtaining signed Death Certificate
- Filing Death Certificate
- Notification of Medical Examiner
- Macomb County Medical Examiner permit fee (If Wayne County death add $65.00)
- Transport of the deceased to crematory
- Cremation charge from Irwin Cremation Service
- Plastic temporary container for cremated remains.
- Preparation of death notices
- Notifying Social Security
- Overhead expenses relative to the facility

If desired by the family, and viewing of the deceased is possible, we allow a 30 minute family viewing for 1-5 people. By Michigan law this must take place within 24 hours of death. This charge includes other preparation of the deceased, but not embalming. (Extra charge) $215.00
