Betty Lucille Polzin (April 22, 1922 - March 9, 2008)
Betty Lucille Polzin, 85 years old, died Sunday, Mar. 09, 2008 at MediLodge of Richmond. Betty was born on April 22, 1922 in Marquette, MI. and married Lloyd Clyde Polzin on April 6, 1942 in Houghton, MI. They settled in Mt. Clemens in 1953 and lived there until they retired in 1978 and moved to Prudenville MI. She then moved back to the Mt. Clemens area after her husband passed away in 2000. She attended St. Peters Church in Mt. Clemens and Our Lady of the Lake in Houghton Lake.
Betty made her family the center of her world. She liked to play Bingo and Yahtzee and go to the casino. She will be remembered for her infectious laugh that made you want to laugh with her. She loved to reply with “Okey Dokey”.
She was predeceased by her husband, Clyde, in 2000 after 58 years of marriage, brother Robert (and sister-in-law Beverly) Hansen; and daughter-in-law Mila Polzin.
She is survived by her children: Gary L., Frank Sr. (Ann), Kathleen (Bob) Scott, Charles (Judy) and Richard; grandchildren Jose Segunla, Carol (Marty Sind) Polzin-Sind, Frank Jr. (Jenny) Polzin, Steve Polzin, James Rohde Jr., Susan (Bob) Robertson, Ben (Grace) Flecha and David Polzin; great grandchildren Lauren and Charles Sind, Angel and Amber Polzin, Lexi Rohde, Brendan Flecha; and brother James (Norma) Hansen.
Visitation will be at Wm. R. Hamilton Co. Funeral Home, 226 Crocker Blvd., Mt. Clemens, on Wed. Mar.12, 2008 from 2:00pm until 8:00pm and a service will be held at Hamilton Funeral home on Thur. Mar.13, 2008 at 11:30 am, Fr. Michael Cooney of St. Peter Catholic Church officiating.
