David Ellis Martin (January 22, 1947 - March 28, 2008)
David Ellis Martin. Born January 22, 1947 in Ypsilanti, MI, and died March 28, 2008 at Henry Ford Hospital in Detroit. Mr. Martin was a Macomb County resident for over 29 years. He grew up in Detroit and went to Northern High School. Mr. Martin retired in 2000 from General Motors Cadillac Division, Hamtramck, where he worked as a pin striper, and was an active member of the UAW #22. He enjoyed Nascar, sports and was an avid Michigan State Spartan fan.
Mr. Martin is survived by his loving wife Mary; children – Kim (Ron) Yates, Ricky, Robbie, and Dan (Jennifer); grandchildren – Jesse, Rachel and Joshua; and sister Lynda (David) Williams. Visitation will be Tuesday 2 to 8 PM with a funeral service at 7 PM, officiated by Rev. Jack Dundas, at the WM R. HAMILTON FUNERAL HOME, 226 Crocker Blvd, Mt. Clemens.
