Wyman Edward Young (April 17, 1926 - January 2nd, 2008)
Wyman Edward Young, age 81, died January 2nd, 2008 in his Clinton Township home. He was born April 17, 1926 in Hollywood, California. Mr. Wyman was a graduate of the University of Kansas School of Dentistry, and practiced general dentistry from 1958 – 1992 in Atchison, Kansas. Upon retirement, Mr. Young and his wife moved to Cottonwood, Az. where they resided until moving to Clinton Township last year. Mr. Young was a WWII veteran, serving as an aerial Gunnery Sergeant in the United States Army Air Corps at the end of WWII. He was a lifetime member of the American Legion, and professionally a member of the American Dental Association and the Kansas Dental Association. He was also a member of Trinity Lutheran Church in Clinton Township. Mr. Young is survived by his wife of 61 years Josephine; children Ed (Bonnie) Young of Clinton Twp., Debbie (Jerry) Sawyer of Fort Collins, Co., and Pam (Tom Singleton) Young of St. Croix, USVI; grandchildren Michael (Heide) Young, David (Katie) Young, Amy (Aaron) Nicodemi, Emily Young, Jed Sawyer, Jennie Sawyer, Jessie Sawyer, Mackenzie (Betzi) Singleton, and Andrew Singleton; great grandchildren Ephraim, Elisabeth and Benjamin Young, and Hannah, Aurora, and Jack Singleton. Visitation is Thursday from 5-8 p.m. at the Wm. R. Hamilton Co. Funeral Home, 226 Crocker Blvd, Mount Clemens, MI 48043. Funeral will be Friday at 10:00 a.m. at Trinity Lutheran Church, 38900 Harper Ave, Clinton Twp, 48036. Additional visitation will be Friday at church from 9-10 a.m. Memorial tributes may be made to Trinity Lutheran Church, attention Parish Nursing, or to Henry Ford Hospice.
